Sabra

For me, the sabra is a plant and a landscape, but also a local symbol embodying the image of the native-born Israeli, a figure that seems to be fading away these days. Its thorns, fleshy leaves, and ability to keep growing under harsh conditions allow me to explore vulnerability and resilience, destruction by fire, but also renewal and hope.
