The Hidden Embroidery

The hidden embroidery began to emerge in my paintings early on. Lines, marks, and structures resembling embroidery appeared spontaneously in the paint, and I chose to recognize them and make them visible, even before thread and needle actually entered my work. Over time, the imagined embroidery became tangible: threads, stitches, and textiles became part of the painting, and the needle began to continue what the brush had started.
